Health and Fitness question, how to get back into it?

Simple to keep up work out routines for a man wanting to be toned.?
I am starting to go back to the gym, i am not looking to gain muscles, but want to trim my waist line. I know you can not specifically loose weight in one area, but I want to know some work out routines that will concentrate more on firming and toning the abs or midsection. I will be dong weights, but not heavy, just enough to keep my arms and legs toned.

Please tell me what I should do in the gym as far as working out and cardio (how long). I will be going to gym 3 days a week.
Please be detailed about cardio and weight lifting and how often i should ?

    ok……cardio first…….you only need twenty minutes of cardio in the hiit fashion……hiit stands for high intensity inteval training…….so, you have a scale of one through ten……for intensity…..start out at a five….walking (treadmill) at a five for one minute…then go up to a six for one minute then a seven and so on until you reach an intensity of nine and you are at a excellent paced jog….go back down to six….then seven then eight then nine…..all for one minute each…..once you get to eighteen minutes into it then for the last two minutes, you sprint at a ten….this type of cardio is very very effective in burning stout and more effective than an hour of regular jogging…..
    now, on to the weights you can do the same thought….start out at five and so on as far as the weight……doing upper body on one day and the lower on another…..I’ve give you an example for two weeks how I’d do it if I were to train you…..
    EXAMPLE:
    mon upper body
    tue cardio
    wed lower body
    thur cardio
    fri upper body
    sat cardio
    sun rest
    mon cardio
    tue lower body
    wed cardio
    thur upper body
    fri cardio
    sat lower body
    sun rest
    now, did you notice that I changed the routine for each week? that is because you don’t want your body to get used to the training…..it keeps it guessing….. this type of working out and exercising will firm and tone your whole body….no need to try to focus on one area as this will target everything……you will look fit and trim…..
