I eat moderately well, work out and run, and i sleep. Why won’t my fat go away?

Written By: admin on October 17, 2009 One Comment

I’m 5′7 16 years ancient and 167 lbs. I got down to 142 before from 172. This time its not working? My meals are moderately healthy. Today for example I had 2 bowls of special K vanilla cereal, 2 bananas, meat, beans, and some strawberry kiwi snapple. I can see how the snapple is terrible but the other stuff is excellent right? I usually have 1 cheat day usually friday of pizza or something. Can somebody please help me out with the food thing because I can really manage workouts. I do the men’s health workouts and do interval running right after weight training. On the days between, I go for jogs.

The quantity of the food you eat should be looked at. Any type of food you eat can cause you to gain weight when you eat too much. Add up the number or calories you are eating each day. With your activity level, you probably need to limit calories to 2500/day. Once you reach you desired weight, you should keep it at about 3000/day

You shouldn’t really go on any extreme diet. But, a few things that help with weight loss and keep you from ruining your metabolism in the long run are:
    - eating smaller parts of food, but eating more often. Instead of 3 meals a day, break up the same amount of food into 6 meals (one every few hours).
    - drinking lots of water (2-3 liters a day). Water is the main ingredient in stout metabolism. If you don’t drink enough, you won’t be able to burn calories as effectively.
    - take a excellent multivitamin and eat healthy foods. Certain vitamins are required to burn calories effectively.
    - continue with the exercise.
