I think I should get gastric bypass surgery, but should I really?
I’m an 18 year ancient male who has been overweight and then obese since around 8 years ancient. I’ve tried countless diets and diet supplements, all ending with me losing some weight, but eventually bouncing back.
The past few years I have considered gastric bypass surgery or lap band (a less serious form) but I am not sure. Everyone knows me as the "huge guy" including myself and I just feel like I will be nobody without my "huge" persona I carry.
On the other page there is the risks of heart problems, diabetes, and my asthma complications. I am on the fence with whether to choose the surgery or just be me and take the risks of the complications in the future.
Being the huge man I am has its advantages as far as strength and other things, while losing weight would mean less health problems and being able to become more attractive.
What should I do in your opinions?
