What are good hygienic practices for groin area ?

A few men’s health related questions:
1. My groin skin area is a few shades darker compared to rest of the body. Do you get some cream/powder to fix that ? It doesn’t itch… but it does get smelly after a workout. Could it be a medical condition that i need to get checked ?
2. What is the best grooming practice after shower ? Towel-dry, and powder on the damp groin region ? Or spray/roll-on deo ?
3. What about hair ? I figure its excellent to have hair to better deal with perspiration. But is it ok, and better, to trim the pubic hair to a shorter length ?

Your groin is the way way it should be.
Keep it clean but don’t obsess about it.
If you’re unclipped (if you still have your foreskin) keep it clean under there.
DON’T OBSESS ABOUT IT!
You can lightly trim the errant straggling hairs to make things neater, but shaving is a terrible thought (ingrown hair).
Don’t place all sorts of scents on your package. Just wash after exercise and shower twice a day.
You’re a man and your junk should smell like a man, not like a flower.
Note: If you’re trying to make a baby, you gotta let your boys have some room to roam. They gotta swing free and cool. Sperm doesn’t like heat.
Just do what 99% of all guys do– shower and lather up the area well with soap and rinse off, dry thoroughly.
The skin is naturally darker down there, nothing to do about it. Normal for most caucasians anyway.
Don’t use deodorant down there, might use medicated powder if you are getting itchy a bit, or a fungicide if you get real jock itch that doesn’t go away. May be wearing too much clothing when working out– just wear light briefs and shorts so your gear can breathe– certainly not boxers since their fabric is usually heavier and keeps the moisture and heat in.
Trim your hair if you want, if straggly, but most guys just leave it natural anyway, doesn’t really matter.
